Paris Saint-Germain honoured at the LNH 2023 awards

Six days after winning the tenth French championship in their history, Paris Saint-Germain Handball were honoured at the Ligue Nationale de Handball (LNH) 2023 Trophies on Thursday in Paris. Luc Steins was voted MVP for the third year running.

The French capital's No6 has been named the Liqui Moly Starligue's best player for the third year running, following his awards in 2021 and 2022. The 28-year-old Dutch international, already voted the league's best centre-half, scored 79 goals in 29 games, with a 78.22% success rate on shots, and provided 38 assists in the competition this season.

Four Parisians in the Best 7

Four players from Paris were named in the Liqui Moly Starligue's Best 7 for the season. Crowned MVP for the third year running, Luc Steins was awarded the trophy for best centre-half in the league. He was joined by two members of the Rouge eat Bleu backline, Elohim Prandi (best left-back) and Dainis Kristopans (best right-back). Finally, Kamil Syprzak rounded off the Parisian quartet by being named best pivot in the league. The native of Plock (Poland) scored 162 league goals this season and was top scorer for Les Rouge et Bleu on 26 occasions in the competition.

Les Rouge et Bleus’ coach Raul Gonzalez was also nominated for the title of Coach of the Season.
