Paris Saint-Germain Handball's pre-season programme

Paris Saint-Germain Handball will begin its preparations for the 2024-2025 season in Paris on Monday 22 July. The players selected for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will rejoin the squad on Wednesday 14 August for the second Japan Tour in the Club's history.

The Parisians will be back at work next Monday, with three weeks of handball and physical preparation sessions supervised by coach Raul Gonzalez and his staff.

In addition to Nikola Karabatic, who will be stepping down this summer, four Rouge et Bleu players will be taking part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (25 July to 11 August) before linking back up with their club-mates ahead of the trip to Tokyo: Sweden's Andreas Palicka, Egypt's Omar Yahia and France's Elohim Prandi and Luka Karabatic.

Paris Saint-Germain Handball will be in the Japanese capital from Wednesday 14 to Friday 23 August. As part of the Japan Tour 2024, the Parisians will train daily at the Ajinomoto Training Center. Raul Gonzalez's players will also play two pre-season friendlies: against Zeekstar Tokyo on Tuesday 20 August and against the Japanese national team on Thursday 22 August. Both matches will be played at the 10,000-seat Yoyogi National Stadium.

The ten-time reigning French champions will kick off their season in official competition on Saturday 31 August with the Trophée des Champions against HBC Nantes at the Futuroscope Arena in Poitiers.
