Gautier Loredon signs pro, goes on loan to Ivry

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is pleased to announce the signing of Gautier Loredon's first professional contract. The 20-year-old pivot, now linked to the Club until 30 June, 2026, is on loan to US Ivry Handball for the 2023-24 season.

Born in Lamentin (Martinique), Gautier Loredon joined the Paris Saint-Germain Handball Training Center in 2019.

The young two-metre-tall pivot had his first appearance in the senior squad in February 2022, on the occasion of their Starligue Round 17 clash in Chartres. Since then, he has racked up 21 league matches (22 goals) and 12 EHF Champions League matches (four goals) with Les Rouge et Bleu.

On July 1, 2018, the home-grown prospect was selected for the first time by the French youth set-up, in the U17 squad. He now plays in the French U21 team

"The signing of Gautier's first professional contract is a reward for his work, his development and his performances since his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain Handball. It is also further proof of the confidence we have in the young talents coming from the training centre. Gautier has been asked, like other players this season, to play for the senior team and has played his role perfectly. Under the colours of US Ivry Handball, he will have more playing time and will continue his development. This new experience will be beneficial for the rest of his career, but also for the Club, as soon as he returns to the squad at the end of next season."

Thierry Omeyer, General Manager of Paris Saint-Germain Handball

"Signing a first professional contract with my boyhood club has a special flavour. I feel very proud today and I thank Paris Saint-Germain for this unique opportunity. I have the chance to learn alongside high-quality staff and world-class players. I now wish to continue my development by continuing to work hard every day and becoming the best handball player possible."
