12th championship title for Paris Saint-Germain

Victorious over Chambéry (30-23) at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball have been crowned champions of France 2025 for the 12th time in club history. By clinching an 11th title in a row, the capital club has etched its name that much deeper into French handball history.

With a record of 27 wins from 30 matches, Raul Gonzalez's players secured the 12th French league crown in the history of Paris Saint-Germain Handball, while breaking their own record for consecutive league titles by making it 11 in a row. Paris Saint-Germain Handball thus adds a new accolade to its honours list and continues the journey at the highest level of French handball.

This is the 25th trophy won by the club since it was taken over by QSI in the summer of 2012. Over the same period, the Parisians have won 12 French championships, five Coupes de France, three Coupes de la Ligue and five Trophées des Champions.

About Paris Saint-Germain Handball

Founded in 1970, Paris Saint-Germain is the most successful club and sports franchise in France and one of the top clubs on the European stage. Owned by Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) since 2011, the club has achieved spectacular results on and off the field of play. Led by its first team, Paris Saint-Germain is an all-round, forward-thinking club with teams in esports, judo, women's football and handball.

Since its takeover by QSI in 2012, the handball section has become one of the top teams in European handball, winning 23 domestic titles and qualifying for the Final4 of the EHF Champions League six times in eight seasons. Over the years, the team has boasted some of the world's best players in its squad, including Mikkel Hansen, Luc Abalo, Thierry Omeyer, Daniel Narcisse and the Karabatic brothers, and has strengthened its position by developing young talent from its youth academy. This strategy has led to new records being set, such as the perfect league season in 2021-2022, with thirty wins in as many matches.

Beyond the sporting aspect, the whole of Paris Saint-Germain is committed to creating a positive social impact through PSG For Communities, with the intention of allocating funds and proposing initiatives dedicated to empowering disadvantaged young people.
