Georginio Wijnaldum loaned to AS Roma

Paris Saint-Germain’s 31-year-old Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has been loaned to AS Roma for the 2022-23 season, with option to buy.

After playing for Feyenoord Rotterdam (135 matches, 25 goals) and then PSV Eindhoven (154 matches, 56 goals), Wijnaldum spent one season at Newcastle United in England (40 matches, 11 goals), before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2016 (237 matches, 22 goals).

The Dutch international signed for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2021. He made 38 appearances, scoring three goals and providing three assists for Les Rouge et Bleu, winning the tenth Ligue 1 championship in the club’s history last May.

Paris Saint-Germain wishes Georginio a successful season with AS Roma.
