Paris Saint-Germain win the Champions League for the first time in their history!

Victorious in the final of the 2024–2025 UEFA Champions League last night against Inter Milan (5–0), Paris Saint-Germain has made history by winning the trophy for the very first time. Backed by 18,000 fans in Munich—and many more in Paris, across France, and around the world—the Rouge & Bleu add a 55th title to their honors list by claiming the most prestigious of European rewards.

Paris Saint-Germain on top of Europe! After defeating Brest in February (3–0, 7–0), Liverpool in March (0–1, 1–0, 4–1 on penalties), Aston Villa in April (3–1, 2–3), and Arsenal in May (1–0, 2–1), the Parisians triumphed over Inter Milan in a masterfully controlled final, with goals from Achraf Hakimi (12th minute), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (73th minute), Senny Mayulu (87th minute) and Désiré Doué (20th minute, 63th minute). Doué also became the first French player in history to play in a Champions League final before turning 20. Captain Marquinhos—Paris Saint-Germain’s most-capped player in European competitions with 107 appearances—and his teammates add another title to an already historic 2024–2025 season, etching their names into the Club’s history by lifting the Champions League for the first time. Since the arrival of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), Paris Saint-Germain has now won 37 trophies.

This year, by combining the brilliance of its youth with the strength of its collective, Paris Saint-Germain—now the 24th club to win the competition—stood out in the Champions League as the second youngest winner in history, with an average age of 24 years and 3 months. The Capital Club also benefited from a diverse attacking threat, with seven players involved in at least five goals during the tournament (Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Fabián Ruiz and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia)—a record this season.

Now winners of four trophies this season : the Trophée des Champions (1–0 vs AS Monaco on January 5, 2025, at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar), Ligue 1, with a 19-point lead, the Coupe de France (3–0 vs Reims on May 24, 2025, at the Stade de France), and now the UEFA Champions League, Luis Enrique’s men claim the second European trophy in the club’s history, after the 1996 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (1–0 vs Rapid Vienna on May 8, 1996, at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels). Paris Saint-Germain will now continue its pursuit of excellence starting June 14 in the United States, where the team will compete in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Until then, the entire club, an entire city, and an entire country can celebrate. Born to shine, Paris Saint-Germain are champions of Europe!

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Paris Saint-Germain : « I am very proud of this first, magnificent victory in the Champions League final, which marks a high point for Paris Saint-Germain, French football and Paris itself. It is the reward for an exemplary team effort, driven by the commitment, team spirit and passion of everyone involved. So many deserve to lift this trophy. I would like to thank the players, Luis Enrique, his staff, Luis Campos and the entire Club, who have built an ambitious and coherent project day after day. This magnificent success is that of a united group, of loyal supporters who were able to attend their first final at the stadium, and of an entire Club that has never stopped believing in its dream. This title, for all the generations of players, coaches and managers who have passed through PSG, is a joy and an honour for Paris, for our institution, and for all those who have long supported the Rouge & Bleu. »
