PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN WINS THE WOMEN'S COUPE DE FRANCE

After an 8-0 win over FF Yzeure Allier Auvergne in Dijon on Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain have won the 2021-2022 edition of the Women's Coupe de France.

Thanks to goals from Marie-Antoinette (3', 7', 31'), Paulina Dudek (9'), Ashley Lawrence (11', 59') and Sara Däbritz (13', 72), Didier Ollé-Nicolle's players won 8-0 against the Auvergne club and claimed the third Coupe de France in the women's team's history, after successes in 2010 and 2018.

During the competition, the reigning French champions successively defeated Dijon FCO in the round of 32 (0-0, 5-4 on penalties), Olympique Lyonnais in the round of 16 (3-0), Montpellier HSC in the quarter-finals (1-3) and FC Fleury 91 in the semi-finals (2-4).

"It is a great joy for the Club tonight," said Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Paris Saint-Germain. "Our progress in the competition shows the exceptional mental capacity of our women's team, which eliminated candidates for the title before lifting the trophy today. Once again, our players have added a title to the Paris Saint-Germain trophy cabinet this season. We can be proud of the performances they have achieved, with the invaluable help of our staff and the club's employees, as well as the support of the fans. This major success and the historic enthusiasm around our women's team encourage us to look to the future with great ambition.”
