PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN v. BK HÄCKEN THE UWCL QUARTER-FINAL AT THE PARC DES PRINCES
AN UNMISSABLE KNOCKOUT CLASH,
ON THURSDAY 28TH MARCH!
Two months after their superb 3-1 win over AFC Ajax, Les Parisiennes are set to return to the Parc des Princes for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Having finished top of Group C, Jocelyn Prêcheur’s players will face Swedish side BK Häcken next month as they look to continue their run through the competition.
The first leg of the tie will take place on Wednesday 20th March at Hisingen Arena, Gothenburg, while the second leg will be held on Thursday 28th March at the Parc des Princes.
The two teams have actually met each other before, having faced off in the second qualifying round of last season’s UWCL, with Les Parisiennes running out 4-1 winners on aggregate (2-1 in the first leg and 2-0 in the second).
Les Rouge et Bleu are unbeaten in their last 15 encounters – including eight in the league, four in the UWCL and three in the Coupe de France Féminine – a run that got going thanks to a 4-1 victory away to Montpellier on 26th November 2023.
Les Parisiennes, who reached the final of the competition in 2015 and 2017, will be relying on the support of their fans to help them overcome the Swedes and to see them through to the semi-finals.
Ever since April 2022, Paris Saint-Germain have held the record for the highest-ever attendance at a women’s club match in France, after they welcomed 43,255 spectators to the Parc des Princes for a UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final against Olympique Lyonnais.
