Olga Carmona signs for Paris Saint-Germain through to 2028 !

Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Olga Carmona. The Spanish international defender has signed a three-year contract with the capital club.

Carmona hails from Seville, Spain, where she was born on 12 June 2000. A product of the Sevilla FC youth academy, she began her professional career at the age of 16, making her debut in the Segunda División, Spain's second tier, in the 2016-2017 season. In that first year, she helped the club to promotion to the Primera División. The following season, the Spaniard made a name for herself, playing 25 games and scoring five goals, quickly becoming a key player in the team. She left Sevilla FC in 2020 to join Real Madrid.

With the club from the Spanish capital, Olga made 186 appearances, scoring 28 goals and providing 25 assists, and she was rewarded with the captain's armband in her final season in Madrid. Renowned for her consistency and impact at major tournaments, she was named one of the best young players in the Spanish league in 2021. In 2023, she was one of the three finalists for the UEFA Women's Player of the Year award and was named in the FIFPRO World XI.

On the international stage, the defender etched her name into her country's history by scoring the decisive goal in the 2023 World Cup final, giving Spain their first world title. With over 40 caps to her name, Carmona also won a Nations League title in 2024. Today, she is a key figure for La Roja.

"I'm delighted to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, an ambitious club with an incredible city. I can't wait to start, meet my teammates and give my best to help the team win many trophies with this jersey!"

As the seasons have gone by, the team has featured international players as huge as Formiga, Cristiane, Laura Georges and Sakina Karchaoui as well as academy graduates such as Grace Geyoro and Marie-Antoinette Katoto.

Since January 2024, our women have trained at PSG Campus, the club’s ultra-modern training centre in Poissy, where they work alongside the men’s team and youth teams on a daily basis. Away from the pitch, Paris Saint-Germain is committed to creating a positive social impact through PSG for Communities, which aims to allocate funds and offer up initiatives designed to empower disadvantaged young people.
