The Parisian list for the Judo Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain Judo will participate in the European Club Championships - Champions League, on Saturday 26 November 2022, in Gori (Georgia). 19 athletes will make up the men's and women's teams of the Rouge et Bleu team for the competition, including Romane Dicko and Teddy Riner.

All the events (draw and then repechage) will take place on Saturday 26 November at the Sports Palace in Gori. Five other French clubs are involved in this tournament: Saint-Geneviève Sports (men's and women's teams), RSC Champigny (women's team), Blanc-Mesnil SJ (women's team), ES Blanc-Mesnil (women's team) and US Orléans LJJ (women's team).

The Parisian group that will defend the Rouge et Bleu colours in this competition is composed of 9 girls and 10 boys. Romane Dicko, recent World Champion, and Teddy Riner, are part of the Parisian squad.

The Rouge et Bleu will be accompanied by coaches Nicolas Mossion and Florent Urani for this competition.

Last season, Paris Saint-Germain Judo won the Europa League in Prague with its men's and women's teams, thus qualifying for the next level, the Champions League. The Club had already shone in the European Club Cup with a team title (1995) and two finals in a row (1997 and 1998).

The team from the capital was led by David Douillet, double Olympic champion in 1996 (+95kg) and 2000 (+100kg), Cécile Nowak, Olympic champion in 1992 (-48kg), Frédéric Demontfaucon, world champion in 2001 (-90kg), as well as the current President of the judo section, Djamel Bouras, Olympic champion in 1996 (-78kg).
