Paris squad named for French team championships

17 athletes will represent Paris Saint-Germain Judo at the French 1st Division team championships, which are set to take place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May in Laval, Mayenne.

The capital club, who are the current holders of both the women’s and the men’s titles, will take 17 judokas into the competition, including recent World Judo Championships medallists Teddy Riner (who won gold in the men’s +100 kg) and Amandine Buchard (who won bronze in the women’s -52 kg), as well as Romane Dicko, Marie-Ève Gahié and Alexis Mathieu (who each won silver in the mixed team event).

As part of their preparations for the competition, the Paris Saint-Germain Judo squad will take part in a training camp from today, Monday 22nd May, until Wednesday 24th May in the department of Essonne, just south of Paris.

Les Rouge et Bleu will be joined by their three coaches: Nicolas Mossion, Julien Boussuge and Florent Urani.
