Marie-Ève Gahié extends with Paris Saint-Germain Judo
Paris Saint-Germain Judo are delighted to announce the extension of Marie-Ève Gahié's contract for a further two seasons. The 2024 world championship runner up, who competes in the -70kg category, is now tied to the Club until 31st August 2026.
Marie-Ève Gahié made a remarkable debut in 2013, becoming European and world champion in the youth category. In 2015, she won gold at the European senior team championships at the European Games in Baku. The following year, she took the top spot on the podium in the individual junior event in Malaga and went on to win the French senior title.
In 2018, at the senior world championships in Baku, she won two silver medals, in the individual and mixed team events. In 2019, aged just 22, she was crowned world champion in Tokyo and took another silver medal in the mixed team event.
Last season, Marie-Ève Gahié shone on the tatamis with a mixed team victory at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, a second European title, a world final and two silver medals at the Grand Slams in Baku and Paris. Under the Rouge et Bleu colours, she also won the Champions League in Belgrade last December.
‘We are delighted to be keeping Marie-Ève at Paris Saint-Germain until 2026. At just 27, she has built up an impressive individual and team record. Last season, she shone in national and continental competitions, demonstrating that she is among the best in the world in her category. The next two years promise to be exciting for the Club and for Marie-Ève. We'll be looking forward to all future events, both individual and team.’

About Paris Saint-Germain Judo
Founded in 1970, Paris Saint-Germain is the most decorated sports club and franchise in France and one of the best clubs in Europe. Owned by Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) since 2011, the club has picked up some spectacular results both on and off the pitch. Beyond its men’s football team, Paris Saint-Germain is an avant-garde, multi-sports club with teams in Esports, judo, women’s football and handball.
Since 1st September 2017, Paris Saint-Germain Judo has become the Club's 5th sports section. A new challenge for which the club from the capital has teamed up with the immense French champion, Teddy Riner, three-time individual gold medallist at the Olympic Games and eleven-time world champion. Under the guidance of coaches Damiano Martinuzzi, Nicolas Mossion and Baptiste Leroy, the judo section's top-level group also boasts some of the greatest French talents of their generation: Romane Dicko, Marie-Ève Gahié and Margaux Pinot in the women's section, and Luka Mkheidze, Walide Khyar and Alpha Djalo in the men's section.
Away from the pitch, Paris Saint-Germain is committed to creating a positive social impact through PSG for Communities, which aims to allocate funds and offer up initiatives designed to empower disadvantaged young people.
