Luca Otmane extends with Paris Saint-Germain Judo until 2022

Paris Saint-Germain Judo is pleased to announce the extension of Luca Otmane's contract for another season. The Frenchman, who competes in the under 73kg category, is now tied to the Club until August 2022.

After finishing runner-up in 2017, Luca Otmane won the French senior title in Rouen in 2018. A few months later, he competed in his first major international competition for France, at the 2018 European Championships in Tel Aviv.

At the 2019 French Championships, the Nice-born player reached the final for the third time in a row and had to settle for a second silver medal.

"Continuing the adventure was my priority," said Luca Otmane after signing his contract extension. "I feel very good at Paris Saint-Germain and I thank the Club for renewing its confidence in me. Here, I benefit from optimal conditions to develop as an athlete and become a better judoka. Everything is in place to aim for performance at national and international levels. With the coaches, I will continue the work I have been doing for several months and do my best to shine in upcoming competitions."

“Climb the ladder towards his major objective, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games”
"We are very happy to extend Luca's contract," reacted Djamel Bouras, president of the Paris Saint-Germain Judo section. "He has shown exemplary determination during his recovery and is once again ready to play at the highest level. We will soon see him playing for the Rouge et Bleu judogi and in major international competitions. These events will allow him to grow and climb the ladder towards his major goal, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games."
