Henrik Toft Hansen extends his contract with Paris Saint-Germain Handball
Paris Saint-Germain Handball is pleased to announce the extension of Henrik Toft Hansen's contract for another season. The pivot is now linked to the Club until 30 June 2023.
Since his arrival in the capital in July 2018, the Dane has won four titles in the Red and Blue shirt (three Lidl Starligue, one Coupe de la Ligue and one Trophée des Champions). Henrik Toft Hansen has played 114 matches for Paris Saint-Germain and scored 190 goals.
With his national team - where he plays alongside Parisian teammate Mikkel Hansen - the 34-year-old pivot has been crowned in every major international competition: European champion (2012), Olympic gold medallist (2016) and World champion (2019).
"Continuing my adventure with Paris was my priority," explained Henrik Toft Hansen after signing his new contract. "I'm lucky enough to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, a club that aims for excellence in all competitions. I'm trying to bring my qualities to bear in this very talented squad. With the support of our fans, I am convinced that we will have great experiences and win many titles."
"The extension of Henrik Toft Hansen's contract is really good new s for the Club," said Jean-Claude Blanc, the deputy chief officer of Paris Saint-Germain. "With Luka Karabatic and Kamil Syprzak, he is part of one of the most competitive trios of line players in Europe. Henrik has always shown an irreproachable state of mind, on and off the court. He is a driving force in the squad and his complementarity with the other players convinced us to urge him to continue his career with Paris Saint-Germain."
