30 OUT OF 30: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN COMPLETE THE PERFECT SEASON

After the victory over Créteil (score) on Wednesday in the final match of the Liqui Moly Starligue, Paris Saint-Germain Handball took home a 30th win in as many league matches. In doing so, Les Rouge et Bleu achieved a previously unseen feat in French handball.

Captain Luka Karabatic and his teammates will forever remain in handball history after completing a perfect season in the French league. Paris Saint-Germain won all of their Liqui Moly Starligue encounters this season.

On the final day of the season against US Créteil at the Stade Pierre-de-Coubertin, Raul Gonzalez’s side came out on top (score), in an achievement that has never been seen before in the history of the competition.

Paris Saint-Germain Handball has become the first ever men’s team in the most popular team sports (basketball, football, handball, rugby and volleyball) to win 100% of their league matches.

This season, they also set a record for having scored at least 30 goals in all of their 30 Liqui Moly Starligue matches.

Crowned champions May 6th, after home victory against Montpellier (37-33), Parisians won their 8th national trophy in a row, a new record, and the 9th title in the Club history.

Following the championship’s last matchday, PSG Handball finishes the season with a record 11-point lead over their nearest challengers, HBC Nantes.

”It’s an evening that will forever remain etched in the history of French sport, commented Jean-Claude Blanc, General Manager of Paris Saint-Germain. Our team’s performance is a reference point for current and future generations, and this record will be extremely difficult to equal. It rewards the talent and demanding nature of a unique squad, which has written Paris Saint-Germain in capital letters at the top of French handball honours. We will enjoy this achievement with our supporters, whose unwavering support helps us to push the limits, before we focus on the Coupe de France final on Saturday, where we will look to bring home another trophy.”
