Warren Zaïre-Emery extends contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029

Paris Saint-Germain are delighted to announce they have agreed a contract extension with Warren Zaïre-Emery. The 18-year-old midfielder has signed up with the club until 30 June 2029.

The future of Paris Saint-Germain will be written with Warren Zaïre-Emery! Since signing his first professional contract in July 2022 at the tender age of 16, the midfielder has enjoyed a meteoric rise. On 6 August 2022, at the age of 16 years, 4 months and 29 days, he became the youngest player in the history of the Rouge & Bleu when he made his debut in a 5-0 win over Clermont on the opening day of the 2022-2023 Ligue 1 season.

That was just the first record to be broken by the Paris-born player, and he didn't stop there. A few months later, on 25 October 2022, the man from Montreuil played the last 10 minutes of the convincing 7-2 victory over Maccabi Haifa, making him the youngest player in Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League history (at 16 years, 7 months and 17 days). Then at the age of 16 years, 10 months and 24 days Warren went on to become the club's youngest ever Ligue 1 goalscorer, netting in a 3-1 win at Montpellier on 1 February 2023. At the end of his first season as a professional, the young Parisian picked up his first trophy with the French Ligue 1 title.

In the 2023-2024 season Warren Zaïre-Emery became an essential cog in Luis Enrique's team. His excellent performances opened the doors to the France national team, making his debut on 18 November 2023 starting the match against Gibraltar (a 14-0 victory). At the age of 17 years and 255 days, the Parisian became the youngest player since 1914 to wear the shirt of Les Bleus, celebrating his first cap for France alongside his first goal.

A few weeks later yet another record fell for Warren when he became Paris Saint-Germain's youngest ever scorer in the Champions League (17 years and 280 days), grabbing the equaliser against Borussia Dortmund (1-1) on 13 December 2023.

The versatile midfielder who has just turned 18 has now made 69 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals for the club. He also picked up another trophy in January with a 2-0 victory over Toulouse in the Trophée des Champions.

“I'm so proud and happy to continue my adventure with the club I’ve been with since the start - Paris Saint-Germain - my boyhood club. I would like to thank the President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who has been with me here since I started, for his faith in me. I'm grateful for everything the club has done for me so far. I'd also like to thank all my former coaches and trainers, and especially coach Luis Enrique, and all those who have accompanied me since I arrived here in 2014, all those people who do everything to help me succeed, all the staff at Paris Saint-Germain who push me a lot with their backing, and the supporters who I hope to continue to make proud", Warren Zaïre-Emery said.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President and CEO of Paris Saint-Germain, said: “We are so pleased that Warren Zaïre-Emery is extending his future at Paris Saint-Germain to 2029. I had no doubt he would renew because he believes in the project, and PSG is in his heart. Since he arrived at our Club 10 years ago, he has worked so hard to develop his fantastic talent.  He has so much more to achieve – and knows with hard work he will achieve all his goals at Paris. Warren also cares about the Club and the collective more than himself – which is what we want in our all players. We are very proud that a product of our Youth Academy is at the centre of our first team for years to come.”
