THIERNO BALDÉ SIGNS HIS FIRST PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT

Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce that Thierno Baldé has signed his first pro contract with the club. The 18-year-old French defender is now tied to the capital club until 30 June 2023.

Thierno was born in the Paris suburb of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges on 10 June 2002, starting out at the local Val-de-Marne based-club Limeil Brevannes from 2008 to 2010 before joining Sénart Moissy in Seine-et-Marne from 2010 to 2016. The versatile defender, equally at home at right-back or in the centre, joined the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy in 2015.

This season Baldé made four appearances for the PSG U19s in the UEFA Youth League, as well as playing in the team’s excellent run in the Gambardella Cup before the competition’s premature end, including a 5-1 victory at Lyon on 22 February in the Round of 16.

The Club congratulates Thierno on his first professional contract and wishes him a successful career in the Rouge & Bleu.
