Senny Mayulu signs his first professional contract
Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce that Senny Mayulu has signed his first professional contract with Les Rouge et Bleu, keeping the 18-year-old midfielder at the club until 30th June 2027.
Mayulu was five years old when he first got into football, starting out at US Saint-Denis before moving to AF Épinay-sur-Seine. At the age of 12, he eventually joined Paris Saint-Germain, where he would climb up through the ranks before breaking into the first-team squad during the 2023–2024 season.
It was in a 9-0 win over US Revel in the last 64 of the Coupe de France on 7th January 2024 that the player from Le Blanc-Mesnil, a town in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, played his first few minutes for Paris Saint-Germain’s first team, coming off the bench with 20 minutes left to play.
Against US Orléans in the next round, the midfielder rounded off a 4-1 win for Les Rouge et Bleu by scoring his very first goal at professional level in what was just his second appearance.
Gifted with above-average technique as well as being at ease on either foot, Mayulu earned his first start for Luis Enrique’s side on 6th April 2024, in a 1-1 draw at home to Clermont Foot 63.
With eight league appearances this season, the Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate – who has just turned 18 – helped the capital club to claim the 12th Ligue 1 title of their history whilst also earning the very first trophy of his own budding career in the process. In March 2024, he also made his debut for France’s U19s, with whom he has already racked up a total of three appearances and one goal.
“I’m hugely proud to sign my first professional contract at Paris Saint-Germain, the club that I support. It’s a childhood dream come true. I’ve worked hard to make it happen, and it’s an immense joy for me and for my entire family,” Mayulu announced.
“We are delighted that Senny Mayulu is signing his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain to 2027. Throughout his time in our Academy, Senny has been so committed to the Club and the collective success of the team – he has so much more to achieve with us. We are very pleased that more and more youth players from our Academy are driving forward Paris Saint-Germain’s future. Building our Club from our Academy is one of the core principles of our next phase of development and success at Paris Saint-Germain”, said Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of Paris Saint-Germain.
