Metehan Guclu signs for Rennes

The 20-year-old French-Turkish striker has moved to the Breton club on a permanent deal. Metehan joined the Paris Saint-Germain Youth Academy in 2012 from AS Bondy, where he grew up alongside Kylian Mbappé.

The man from Montfermeil in the Paris suburb of Seine-Saint-Denis came up through the ranks at PSG, winning a French championship with the U17 team in 2016 as the team's top scorer, notching 25 goals in 21 matches. In the same 2015-2016 season he made two appearances for the PSG U19s who also went on to win the French Championship in that category.

With the U19s, Metehan played a total of 10 UEFA Youth League matches scoring 3 goals before becoming part of the PSG reserve team in National 2 (17 matches, 11 goals in 2018-2019).

On 17 April 2019, the striker played his first Ligue 1 match at Nantes, scoring a goal on his senior debut and going on to win the Ligue 1 title, two months after signing his first professional contract.

The Club thanks Metehan for his contribution throughout his time at Paris Saint-Germain and wishes him all the best for the rest of his professional career.
