Layvin Kurzawa loaned to Fulham

French defender Layvin Kurzawa has joined English Premier League club Fulham FC on loan until the end of the season.

After coming through the AS Monaco youth academy, the left-footed defender made his Ligue 1 debut at 18. After a spell in Ligue 2, he got back into the top flight at the end of the 2012/13 season and earned playing time, making his debut in the Champions League. He played a total of 97 games and scored nine goals for the principality outfit.

After joining Paris Saint-Germain in June 2015, the full-back picked up a Ligue 1-Coupe de France-Coupe de la Ligue treble in his first season. In seven years with the Rouge-et-Bleu, he claimed 18 trophies, including four league winner’s medals.

A Champions League runner-up in 2019/20, Layvin Kurzawa played 153 matches and scored 14 goals for Paris Saint-Germain, including an historic hat-trick – the first for a defender in the competition’s history – against Anderlecht at the Parc des Princes on 31 October 2017.  

The 29-year-old has scored for France too, playing for the senior team 13 times.
