Julian Draxler loaned to Benfica

Germany midfielder Julian Draxler has joined Benfica on loan for the 2022-2023 season.

Julian Draxler signed for Paris Saint-Germain in January 2017 after coming through the youth ranks at Schalke 04 and a spell at VfL Wolfsburg. During his five seasons in Paris the Germany international made 198 appearances for the Rouge & Bleu, scoring 26 goals and providing 41 assists.

The midfielder went on to pick up 12 trophies with the club from the capital: four French league titles (2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022), four Coupes de France (2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021), three Coupe de la Ligue (2017, 2018 and 2020) and Trophée des Champions (2020).

On the international stage Julian won the World Cup with the Mannschaft  in Brazil in 2014 and has 58 caps (7 goals) for his national team.

Paris Saint-Germain wishes Julian every success for the season with Benfica.
