Ismaël Gharbi joins SC Braga

The attacking midfielder who came through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain is joining SC Braga in a permanent move.

Having joined the Paris Saint-Germain Pre-Training Centre in 2016 from Paris FC, Ismaël Gharbi then progressed to the Club's Youth Academy, where he played for the U17 and U19 teams.

The attacking midfielder made his first team debut for the Club in August 2021 during the Trophée des Champions in Tel-Aviv against Lille. During the 2021-2022 season, the young talent made his Ligue 1 debut, coming on as a substitute against Troyes at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 36, and earned the title of French Champion in 2022.

The Franco-Spanish player trained daily with the first team squad during the 2022-2023 season and participated in six top-flight matches, securing another Ligue 1 title. The native of the capital now totals 12 appearances across all competitions with the Rouge & Bleu.

Loaned to the FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy for the 2023-2024 season, the 20-year-old player played in 31 matches, scoring 7 goals.
