Ilyes Housni joins Al Sadd SC on loan

Striker Ilyes Housni has joined Qatari side Al Sadd SC on loan.

The ‘Titi’ joined the capital club’s pre-academy from Paris FC in 2017 and would later move up to its senior academy as an U17 before featuring for Zoumana Camara’s U19s.

Born in Créteil, in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, Housni became an established starter for Paris Saint-Germain’s U19s in the 2022–2023 season and most notably helped his side to the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League with eight goals and two assists in six games.

These performances earned him a place in the club’s Élite reserve squad, where he would train alongside the professionals on a daily basis. The forward made his first-team debut on 6th January 2023, when he came off the bench against La Berrichonne de Châteauroux in the last 64 of the Coupe de France. In that same season, Housni also made his first-ever appearance in Ligue 1, in a Matchday 23 fixture against Monaco on 11th February 2023, and would thereby take home the French league title at the end of the campaign.

The club would like to wish Ilyes all the best for his latest challenge.
