Christopher Nkunku joins RB Leipzig

The midfielder trained at the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy has joined the German club on a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old from the Paris suburb of Lagny-Sur-Marne made 78 appearances (11 goals, 4 assists) with the Rouge & Bleu, winning three Ligue 1 titles (2016, 2018 and 2019), three Coupes de France (2016, 2017 and 2018), three Coupes de la Ligue (2016, 2017 and 2018) and two Trophées des Champions (2017 and 2018).

The France U21 international (6 caps) made 29 appearances in the 2018-2019 season, scoring in the 4-0 victory over AS Monaco in the Trophée des Champions held in Shenzhen, China.

Christopher came through the youth ranks at his hometown club, winning the U19 French Championship with the Rouge & Bleu in the 2015-2016 season as well as playing a role in the Paris Saint-Germain’s incredible run to the final of the UEFA Youth League.
