Alphonse Areola joins West Ham United on a permanent deal

Alphonse Areola joined West Ham United on a permanent basis after spending last season on loan with the English Premier League club.

After coming through the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy, Alphonse Areola won three Ligue 1 titles (2013, 2018, 2019), two Coupes de France (2017, 2018), two Coupes de la Ligue (2017, 2018) and three Trophées de Champions (2016, 2017, 2019) with the Rouge-et-Bleu. He made a total of 107 appearances in all competitions.

Last season, the 'Titi' made 18 competitive appearances for West Ham while on a season-long loan.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper has three senior international caps for France and won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Les Bleus.
