A 16th Coupe de France for Paris Saint-Germain!
Paris Saint-Germain won the final of the 2024-2025 Coupe de France last night against Stade de Reims (3-0) to retain their title and consolidate their position as the most successful club in France. With this success, the Rouge & Bleu now have 54 trophies to their name.
A hat-trick for Paris Saint-Germain! After winning the Trophée des Champions (1-0 against AS Monaco on 5 January 2025 at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar) and clinching the French league title with a 19-point lead, Luis Enrique's men - who also won the trophy last year against Olympique Lyonnais (2-1) - won the Coupe de France final against Stade de Reims (3-0) on Saturday evening, thanks to goals from Bradley Barcola (16e , 19e) and Achraf Hakimi (43e).
Paris Saint-Germain thus won the 16th Coupe de France in club history, reinforcing their status as the most successful team in the competition, ahead of Olympique de Marseille (10). It is also the 54th title in the club's history, a record among French clubs.
After successively eliminating RC Lens (1-1, 3-4 on penalties), FC Espaly (2-4), Le Mans FC (0-2), Stade Briochin (0-7) and USL Dunkerque (2-4), the Parisians beat Stade de Reims to add another title to an already exceptional 2024-2025 season. Captain Marquinhos - who tonight became the first player to lift the Coupe de France for an eighth time - and his team-mates can still hope to win two more trophies this season: the Champions League, the final of which will pit them against Inter Milan in Munich on 31 May, and the Club World Cup, which will take place from 14 June to 13 July in the United States.
