Paris Saint-Germain and Supercell extend partnership after a first successful year
Paris Saint-Germain and Supercell have decided to extend their successful partnership that started a year ago.
“PSG is a club that shares our ambition and has offered great value to us both in terms of giving our players and content creators unforgettable experiences in their stadium, as well as through in-game integrations and fun content for our player communities worldwide”, commented Manuel Langegger, Marketing Manager of Supercell in Europe. “The first year has been full of trial, big surprises and successes and a lot of learnings. We feel that we have just started to scratch the surface of what is possible and we still have a lot to learn”.
“We are delighted to extend our collaboration with Supercell and to continue our venture into the world of video gaming” said Paris Saint-Germain Chief Partnerships Officer Marc Armstrong. « We are extremely proud of the creative and dynamic content that we created together this past year, allowing our brand to reach a younger audience and develop stronger bonds with them by understanding and adopting their own codes. Esports remains one of the core pillars of the Club’s brand diversification strategy and we are looking forward to the next successes we can create together. »
During their first year, Paris Saint-Germain and Supercell released several pieces of content, including an esports tournament, a Youtube show called Brawl with the Stars, a 3D digital animation both with Paris Saint-Germain players and an in-game integration with Brawl Stars, which included a Paris Saint-Germain skin as well as a branded in-game arena of Parc Des Princes.

Moreover, the partners have taken their collaboration a step further. In the beginning of this year, Supercell’s leadership team flew over to Paris to meet with Paris Saint-Germain Coach Thomas Tuchel to exchange learnings about building high-performing teams and the impact of culture on an organization - a project that both parties wish to continue in more depth in the coming year.
Supercell is a mobile game developer based in Helsinki, Finland, with offices in San Francisco, Seoul and Shanghai. Since its launch in 2010, Supercell has released five games globally – Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars. That's because Supercell's goal is to make the best games – games that are played by millions, enjoyed for years and remembered forever.
