PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN ADVANCES FEASIBILITY STUDIES IN MASSY AND POISSY FOR FUTURE STADIUM PROJECT

Paris Saint-Germain’s recent UEFA Champions League triumph marks a pivotal milestone in the Club’s trajectory. To remain competitive at the highest level and support its long-term growth, the Club must have a stadium that aligns with its ambitions and can accommodate an expanding fanbase. Securing such a venue is essential to sustaining the Club’s evolution both on and off the pitch.

Over the past several months, Paris Saint-Germain has been evaluating multiple locations as part of its strategic plan to develop a future stadium. This flagship project reflects the Club’s ambition to operate a modern, high-capacity, state-of-the-art facility—designed to the highest international standards—offering an exceptional matchday experience to the broadest possible audience, and honoring the deep passion and loyalty of its supporters.

Following an initial site assessment phase, the Club is now entering a new stage in the process: in-depth feasibility studies will be conducted in the municipalities of Massy and Poissy, in close coordination with local authorities and partners. Both areas have expressed strong interest in hosting a major urban project and have the planning flexibility and potential to integrate additional infrastructure—an important consideration for the Club.

Massy stood out during the initial review for its excellent multimodal connectivity, including direct access to Paris, the wider Île-de-France region, major French cities, and key European capitals. Its proximity to the Paris-Saclay scientific and innovation hub also reinforces the area’s appeal for sustainable urban development.

Poissy, identified at a later stage of the analysis, presents a compelling alternative due to its immediate proximity to the Paris Saint-Germain Campus, strong local ties, and a longstanding partnership with the Club. These factors contributed to the decision to explore this site further in this next phase.

Comprehensive technical, environmental, and urban planning studies will now be launched to assess the long-term feasibility of each site. The goal is to define a sustainable and future-proof stadium project that will positively impact the Club, its supporters, and surrounding communities for generations.

The final project will be shaped progressively, drawing on input from independent experts, the Club’s internal teams, and ongoing dialogue with regional stakeholders. This collaborative, methodical approach has already proven successful in the development of the Paris Saint-Germain Campus, the Club’s world-class training center.

Paris Saint-Germain will remain at the Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future, as this next phase of feasibility work progresses.

At this stage, the Club has not expressed any preference between the two shortlisted sites. Both will be assessed with equal diligence, technical rigour, and transparency.

Several alternative proposals were thoroughly reviewed during the initial phase but were not retained for further consideration. The Club warmly thanks all municipalities, local officials, and project leaders who expressed interest—testament to the enduring appeal and stature of Paris Saint-Germain.

“This project represents a transformational step in the Club’s development. To remain competitive, we need a stadium that reflects our ambitions—capable of welcoming a greater number of fans in optimal conditions. We are advancing with a clear methodology, technical rigour, and a commitment to excellence—essential for a project of this scale. Our ambition is clear: to deliver a sustainable, state-of-the-art stadium that fulfills our sporting, economic, and local objectives.”
Victoriano Melero, Chief Executive Officer, Paris Saint-Germain
